Allison Cara Tolman (born April 2 1984) is an American actor. The early years of her life and schooling Tolman had two older brother and a younger sister. Her family moved to England when she was just only a couple of weeks old and stayed there until she was four. Before leaving for Sugar Land in Texas, she lived for five years in Oklahoma and West Texas. The Fort Bend Community Theatre, she began acting lessons in the age of 10. She went to Clements High School, graduating in 2000. Baylor University has awarded her with a bachelor degree in Fine Arts in Dramatic Performance. After graduation from college in 2007, she moved to Dallas where she founded The Second Thought Theatre. After moving to Chicago for a semester at The Second City Training Center In 2009, she returned to Illinois for her final year of studies in 2009. Tolman began her career in Fargo, a black-comedy crime drama on FX. Fargo is a remake of 1996 Coen brothers' film with the same title. The show stars veteran actors Bob Odenkirk, Martin Freeman as well as Billy Bob Thornton. Tolman was praised for her portrayal of Minnesota Police Officer Molly Solverson. Vanity Fair said that Tolman "calmly took over" the show. Critics' Choice Television Award, Best Supporting Actress (Movie/Miniseries) as well as Golden Globe awards were announced to Tolman for her performance.
